EUDR covers seven commodities: cattle, cocoa, coffee, oil palm, rubber, soya and wood. COCOBIO contains none of them — only coconut coir, coco peat and a plant-based binder. The product is therefore OUT OF SCOPE of the EUDR: importers are not required to file a due-diligence statement for it. Supplier declarations and origin traceability documents are available on request.

How can I make sure the product complies with regulations in my market?

Under a Private Label model, owning the brand means owning the compliance file. Our role is to prepare an accurate technical document set so you can complete import procedures smoothly in any market. EUROPEAN UNION: under the GPSR, the party whose brand is on the product — the EU importer — is the responsible entity; you hold that role directly, with no need for a third party. EN 1860-3 is not a legal requirement, but German and Nordic retailers often ask for the DIN CERTCO certification, so it's worth budgeting for if you're pursuing those channels. Under the EUDR, the product contains none of the seven listed commodities, so no due-diligence statement is required. SAUDI ARABIA & GCC: registration runs through the SABER platform; by regulation, the Saudi-based importer is the party who registers and whose name appears on the Product Certificate of Conformity (PCoC). For firelighters, the process is fairly light — mainly a self-declaration plus a Shipment Certificate of Conformity (SCoC) for each import. UNITED STATES: the product falls outside CPSC regulation (16 CFR 1210/1212) since it isn't a device with an ignition mechanism. California's Proposition 65 is the key requirement here — PAH testing is currently under way at an independent laboratory (SGS); we will send you the report as soon as it is issued.
